Just thought I would share with the yard. I just got my custom busse batac back from HD, and he put one heck of a convex edge on it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />. I am a little blown away at how good it turned out. I mailed it friday of last week and got it back today(Sat), so the turn around time was real fast. HD is first class!! On a side note HD recommended using the leather strop kit at knivesshipfree to keep it razor sharp. Well that was the best $40 bucks I've ever spent. All my ScrapYard and Busse knives are razor sharp now.

It might not be a bad idea if the Yard offered a similar kit. Considering how many "how to sharpen" threads are started. I know I posted one. I would have rather bought a ScrapYard kit. Somehow I know it would be better. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Everyone should own a good strop. That being said, most of the factory edges on ScrapYard knives I've seen need a little refining before they go to a strop.

I have a strop from KSF, I guess I just need to practice more cause I am not very good at it......
