anyone got a sheath for there SOD yet?

Wow,didnt even think about a sheath.
Guess I should start thinking and get something ordered.
I need one for that SFNO LE thing too I guess.
I ordered a sheath for a game warden I want to carry,thought I ordered
it from Rainwalker like months ago,
its only been a few weeks! I better get on the ball
and figure out what I want!
Might try and make a temp sheath so I can carry the GW till
my real sheath arrives.

I have sheaths for MY SODs, including one for the LE. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> I marked my DFLE blade at 7 1/2" and used it for a pattern which worked well. I tried posting a few pics, but we have a new computer and the Windows Vista is giving us problems getting photos pasted. We did OK with the old Windows XP. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> I might have to contact Andy for ideas. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I use Vista and it works ok for me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> If you let us know what the problem is, maybe one of us can help.

Well Andy, it looks like we can get pictures to photobucket, but after clicking on the IMG code it says that it copies, but when we try to paste it in the post under clicking edit it will NOT give us the paste option. Suggestions? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Nice pair of SOD's and the S6 is sweet too. It's amazing how popular tan has become since the troops have been in the sand.

You're absolutely right Caz! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I was never as fond of my tan Camp Tramp as I was my black one, or even my InfiCoot for that matter. But over time, and with the Yard offerings, I have become a "tan fan". LOL. You're welcome. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I've noticed that sometimes it says the image code was copied, but it doesn't copy. So what I always do to make sure is click the IMG code so it highlights, then hit the CTRL key and C key at the same time to copy the link to the clipboard. Then I just go to the post box, I get the cursor where I want it, then hit CTRL V to paste it. Works for me! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have Vista on my laptop and I am finally getting used to a lot of the programs--meaning I can stumble my through. I should have listened to my brother and went with a Mac. Live and learn.

Now to your sheaths--I like them. The sheaths look like they are made out of some real good leather, maybe Bevo could lend me some of his hide......Just giving you a hard time. Being from Oklahoma you know how we have to get back and forth with each other (Sweatshirt was the give-away).

Did you do the stiching by hand or on a machine?

sumo - I stitch my sheaths by hand, using one of those "Sew-Awl" tools. Slow, but it works. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> As for the sweatshirt - I just picked it up at a store - it means nothing special to me. I was so excited about receiving my SODs that I didn't bother taking it off for the picture. I also have a couple of Texas Longhorn tee-shirts from the same store, which sells over-stocks, etc. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Thanks Bear! I am slowly but surely improving - my first sheath was just glued together with leather cement. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> Then I went to cement and a few rivets, then stitching by hand. One of these days I will try using a wood-burning tool for a design on brown leather. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Here's one that I just put together, not the best but I'll do better on my next one. Enjoy.

my sod fits my becker bk-7 sheath better than the bk-7

im the same way. i hated tan because black always was my fave then i got a tan s6 and i love it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but black is still my fave by far. but tan is good!!! so for all you tan fans, as Klink says, HOOOOOOAH!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
