SOD vs ribs - 02/27/09 12:05 PM

well my ol lady got some ribs and i was very hungry so i made a rack of ribs. i thought id take some pictures and post them. i always use my SOD to literally hack through them. its a bit loud and fun...almost festive. its just a few pics

yum yum!

and after the feast...

my SOD handled all the cutting fine even after my boss tried to whittle hickory and after my 4x4 kindling project. i did however notice some coating damage on the spine after i tried using it as a hammer purely cosmetic though!

ps dont worry i always use the bones for soup base i hate wasting!

That Sierra Nevada Pale Ale would go perfect with ribs. Too bad none of the rib places here serve it. I may just have to do it myself, as you did. The SOD is not exactly a great slicer or boner. More like a cleaver!

That's it. I'm only using my SOD for meals from now on. I wonder how that convex edge will do on ribs....

Perhaps Scrapyard BBQ sauce would be appropriate.

Growling Good!
