SR-77.. - 03/19/09 04:08 AM

Recently I took my Yard Hook and ground down the hook. Not all the way off but really it ended up looking almost exactly like a Yard Guard,I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance.Anyway I noticed that even though I was getting a steady shower of sparks, when I touched the steel where I was grinding it was only alittle warm.Is this stuff heat resistant?

Maybe since its such a thick piece of softer steel along the spine it dissipated well?

Steel with magical powers. Can you imagine what some would think if we were to go back in time with a sword made of todays steel? We would have an Excalibur in our hands.

Look forward to the pics.

My father-in-law has talked about using a Jackhammer, and about how at times the bit would actually get red hot from over use... With this in mind, considering that S7 was specifically designed for Jackhammer bits and the like, I would assume that resistance to excess friction and heat would be very important.
