The forest is waking!

Well today was in the seventies finally and it seemed like a nice day for a day hike.So I grabbed my favorite knife of knives and dig camera and I was off to the wild!Right now the understudy trees are changing, theres already a nice layer of green on the floor.Pardon the dark blotch in some of them.

Please,what is this?

It's a fallen tree and this is the root end,it's hollow way up inside so I'm sure something lives in there that hole is about two feet wide.No idea what kind of tree.

Great pictures - it's been hiking weather for quite a while in Georgia, but it's getting to be really nice now. I took the day off today to do some chopping and splitting and fire building in the yard - lots of downed branches after all the big storms we've been having.

Spring is definitely the best season.

you should harvest this stump, soda blast it and then tung oi it, it would be quite the centerpiece in a house.
