I'm new here and just ordered my first SY knife the S5. How long does it take to get your knife. Thanks

In reality, you're looking at a minimum of six weeks, and probably more like eight to twelve.

They have to actually MAKE the blades before they ship them to us, and they won't make them until they are done accepting orders.

they should start shipping in 4-6 weeks after they are off the site.

I say the first blades will ship July 12th.

I say sooner, but July 14th would be better, Bastille Day and all.

as long as it hits my hand before I leave for vacation at labor day i'll be happy.

I'm hoping to have my new S5 in about two weeks.

Our intent is to allow ordering on The ScrapYard site for 6 weeks. Once the we take down the offer no additional orders will be accepted. It then takes 4 to 6 weeks for the knives to ship from this point. Please note that it is not 4 to 6 weeks from the date of your order.

Sure, it can be a long wait, but these knives are well worth the wait.

The S5 looks like an amazing knife, and I've ordered 4 of the CGs alone, based solely upon my appreciation for Dans' previous models. Trust me when I say these are knives designed to give you a lifetime worth of enjoyment. You've made a wise investment in these knives, whether it be for an everyday carry, huning, camping, hiking, survival tool.... whatever. I thought it would be forever when I ordered my first, the SOD. I got so antsy that I bought a DMDC on Blade Forums. It got here before the SOD did!

But, eventually the SOD came, and I was pumped!

Then I thought, "Man, it's going to be forever until I get pants for this thing."

Not long later, my Rainwalker kydex arrived, and now I have both my SYKCOs with pants to boot!

So even though I'm with all of you in my excitement about the S5... it'll get here soon enough.

At 100 bucks a pop these are a real deal IMO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />.If I was walking through a knife show and saw these at that price I would order even more. I ordered 4 right off so I hit the first batch- and will do my second order toward about 5 weeks. I will be vacationing about 90 days between now and October and probably won't be here when orders arrive <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />. I only wish the yard had an automatic order for all new models. If so- I would take at least one of the CG and LE models. Be kind of tough with the S5s due to all the color combos- but I would trust Dan or Renee to pick. Sure would be a nice option but doubtful it would happen.
