[color:"red"] Sorry for the poor quality - I spend my money on guns and knives (not cameras) [/color] <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

This has a couple of my rifles and handguns; all of my "battle belts" and all of my Bussekin

This is my entire Bussekin family, EXCEPT for the 3rd Reg I have on order.

Seeing various pics of the dogfather makes me crave a Scrap Yard big blade more than ever

Nice collection. Just an observation but you seem to share the "one is none two is one syndrome" - two belts, two fanny packs, two......

Thanks for the kind words everyone <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Terrorbl,
Yes (3 is 2; 2 is 1; 1 is 0)! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I have two FALs; two 6920's; two Glock 19's, but only one Glock 20SF <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

You need to work on the G20SF situation! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 02:48 PM

Yes, I absolutely do! That was my first 10mm, and I didn't know if I'd like it (because they are so expensive to shoot). Well, I don't like it............. I LOVE IT <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />.

It gets very expensive to have "his and hers" for everything. My wife and I try to buy all of our firearms in "pairs" (S&W 642's; Glock 19's; Glock 26's; Colt 6520's; Colt 6920's; DSA FAL's; Remington 870's; Ruger 10/22's). However, I only have one: AK47; Sig Sauer 556; Sig Sauer P228; M1 Garand; Imbel FAL; Colt R6601; Springfield M1A; Glock 17 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 02:53 PM

Skunk Hunter, I've been collecting since 1984. I've owned all manner of firearms (and many many duplicates) during the past 26 years. My only regret is that I didn't keep a higher quality AK, because the one I ended up with is just a SAR-1 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />.

I'm actually done with my gun collection....knives are my focus now <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 02:56 PM

There's always room for both! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:01 PM

Outside of a better AK, and the aforementioned duplicate G20SF I can't think of anything else I really want at this point. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> I'm not a "gun collector": all of my guns are "working guns", and as such I don't really want anything else (blasphemy - I know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />).

Knives take up less space in my safe...are easier to buy in duplicate...and are more affordable!!!

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:04 PM

More affordable for the most part, until you start buying Busse Combat customs and such. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:07 PM

That's the reason why I don't have a Hog in my collection <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />. I will eventually add a couple (what Bussekin collection is complete without a Busse <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" />), but at this point I'm not willing to pay the price when Dan and Erik's knives are so much more affordable. This is especially true since I bought at least TWO of everything <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />.

I'm actually very excited about getting my first Hog, but don't know what it will be. I definitely want to put some INFI in my meager collection!

The most I've paid for a knife is $237 (my DogFather). Once I added the sheath and shipping I have over $280 in that one <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> (which is why I hope Dan brings out a Big Chopper soon).

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:11 PM

The DogFather truly IS a great knife! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Did you know that I am the one who named it? I won the naming contest Dan had prior to its release, and received possibly the first DogFather released to the public! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:14 PM

PK,

I didn't know that! I have to tell my wife, because last night as I was taking the pictures I was extolling the virtues of the DF when she said "That's a great name for THAT knife!".

I hope Dan brings it back out, but I have never heard of him "re-releasing" any of his designs?

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:21 PM

Please tell your wife I said "thank you"! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Dan has not re-released any knives yet, but I hope that he does in the future. It would be nice to see a new pack of Dogs get some great blades, and I bet many of the "old timers" would buy some too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/04/10 03:57 PM

She smiled when I told her. It is a perfect name for the ultimate big chopper.

I'd buy nearly every previous release (if Dan brought them back out). I just went to the "knives page" and the only designs that leave me a little cold are the Yard Hook and Yard Keeper. I would absolutely love to have several Yard Keepers; S6's; Son of a Dog Father's; Dumpster Mutt's, and of course more DF's! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Nice collection Arc <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. You will love the DFs and if you get a chance- for sure get a DFLE. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> Absolutely awesome chopper IMO <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/05/10 05:40 PM

Arch, I know what you mean about the premium for the Busse line. I have a couple, and only one of them I am sure I will keep. I love bowies and the HG55 I picked up was a project blade from the previous owner so I am just taking it to the next step on it. I do have a BWM but yet to use it, so who knows. I DO know I love the offerings from the Yard and most from the Swamp because of the value they offer!

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/05/10 05:55 PM

Dan nailed it: "Superior Performance to Price Ratio"!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I have knives from all three companies and think they are all great! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Re: Pics Of My Bussekin Family - 04/05/10 07:08 PM

Sumo and PK,

You guys summarized it precisely. The value of SY and SR's offerings are irresistible. What other consumer product can take more abuse than their competition, and beat their prices too?

I love the satisfaction of knowing I have the VERY BEST KNIVES made, and that they were an incredible VALUE too <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I've never held a blade that "felt more brutally durable" than my DF. Its simply a "beast".
