My quest to find a NMFBM...

My quest to find a NMFBM... - 04/10/10 10:43 PM

First off Let me start by saying thank you very much Jim for trying to find a NMFBM for me. It's you who make this place so special.

Secondly is anybody going to the up coming shows that Busse will be in? I'm really looking for another proxy for the almighty NMFBM. I talked to Amy and the Busse crew can just charge me and ship it on their own without you even having to touch the blade. You just have to be there in the show to "grab" the NMFBM for me.

You're welcome, and I'm sorry that I wasn't fast enough to get one for you. For whatever it's worth, before I called you, I asked Garth if they might take your request as an order to fill from the shop, but he said that he couldn't do that. I don't know if he meant that the shop couldn't take it as an order at all, or simply that they couldn't while they're trying to process Knob Creek and preparing for Blade. I hope you enjoy the Dog Father that they set aside to send you; it's certainly no NMFBM, but they're very popular around here.

I hope you end up getting one Ken .... I have often thought Vic would or should at some point try one as well .... they are a cracking knife for those who enjoy using a knife which can be both a great chopper and double as a machete for however long you need that function.

Only Dan really has the capacity in my opinion to make a better knife and that is because of his Res C handles .... if Dan can get his hands on some NMFBM blanks and re do the handle to take a Res C grip and thin the blade down a little to make up the balance changes from removing stock from the handle .... that knife would be a "Grail" knife for many Bussekin owners ....

One day maybe .... but until then good luck in your search <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I would LOVE an NMFBM with res C. Keep the same blade profile, just get rid of the full tang. It would be an INSANE chopper. I love my NMFBM, I also love the Dogfather, the fusion of the two with INFI would be amazing.

It is really one of the best knife size chopper out there. The secondary market price is very high for it...
