Scrapizashi Specs

Scrapizashi Specs - 07/08/10 09:46 PM

Dogs:

I will be posting the Scrapizashi to the shopping cart in the near future. I wanted to provide you with all of the specifications. They are as follows:

Overall length = 27.25”
Blade length = 17 3/8”
Blade Thickness = Approx .190
Blade Width = 1.5”
Weight = 1lb 13.2 oz (29.2 oz)
Handle = Cord wrapped

Due to the nature of the handle material I am unable to extend our guarantee to cover this component. However, the blade is covered by our normal guarantee against any and all unintentional MAJOR damage for life. As always, our guarantee is on the knife and NOT just for the original owner.

Should you damage your handle and want us to replace it we are more than happy to do so for the nominal fee of $49.95

Keep an eye open on this forum as I will provide a “Heads-Up” notice when they will be posted.

Interesting chart, gearwhore. Could you add the ideal Shortsword blade lengths as well? I believe a Wakazashi would qualify as a Shortsword.

As is the nasty, custom, dirk/short sword I ordered 2 weeks ago! muwaahaaahaaaaa...good to be me...

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 07/11/10 05:21 AM

I'm really excited about the new line, style, whatever you wanna call it. Having the metal tang exposed is a big plus for me. With that said I'm still gonna pass on this short sword. I just don't have a use for it.

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 07/16/10 03:20 AM

Hi Dan,

Since the handle wraps are not warrantied, and a re-wrap can be done by the shop (provided owner pays)....does that mean it might be possible to offer the Scrapizashi's with no wrap at a discount? I'm only curious, and trying to think through the possibilities.

Thanks!

A $50 discount for a naked Scrapizashi is an intriguing possibility, Ishikawa. I might even be willing to buy one at that price. But I sure wouldn't count on it.

Seems like a reasonable option. Would save the shop time (if its not wanted), allow flexibility to the owner (since it's not a warrantied part), and help reduce the costs (depending on what the owner wanted in an end product).

I'm thinking duct tape with shaped cell foam beneath True Scrap

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 07/20/10 12:27 AM

Haven't had a chance yet to really play with it but I am really happy with how it looks and feels in the hand. The handle smells of resin (yum) and has a slight give to it. Production quality is great with no flaws and nice clean grind all the way long the blade.

Will scare some foliage later and see how it performs...

Not yet, too hot, and school started. A bummer, but cooler weather is coing and I will be heading out to do some dove hunting sunday or monday. I will take both, got me and my younger bro to swing them. I have more technique (I think) but he has sixe and strength behind him. I fear any tree that gets in the way!

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 08/31/10 05:42 AM

Oh yeah, the price at AG was a bit under 300 bills.

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 09/07/10 12:26 AM

I want two of every release but think I'll have to sit this one out. I just can't find a "purpose" for it .

Hopefully Dan will have another release soon, because I'm going broke on the secondary market

I can give you one, ZOMBIES...............and clearing brush, the secret ninjas in the woods, and I am sure there are many more.

Re: Scrapizasi Specs - 09/07/10 06:10 AM

I have Chinese throwing stars for all of those scenarios ...except for the brush. That might be reason enough to get one.
