Just for fun ! - 12/06/10 01:41 AM

We've not had one of these hypothetical scenario's for a while so :

Let's pretend that you have been chosen for some reality TV programme where you are going to be dropped off in the Alaskan wilderness mid Winter and can take only one edged tool.

This tool can be a Busse-Kin Knife, Axe or saw but you can only pick one and it must serve all your needs for one month.

Obviously you will need to make shelter, fire(You would have a PSK Firekit), trap making, food prep etc.

What would ya pick, if it's a knife I need to know which ?

Well I don't have the LE BUT I DO have the Combat Grade!!!

Hmmm, it would be this one

Or this one

Strongly leaning toward the BWM, but the ratweiler would be very tempting

Come on guys! You're making me miss my DFLE that I sold for my M9CG! Off I go to stare at the M9 to make myself feel better!

In all seriousness, I'd say either my DFCG as first choice, or my Chopweiler. The DFCG is #1 because of the S7's stain resistance and toughness, and the Res C would keep my hands from going numb as fast if I were to use a full tang knife.

Re: The Dog Father Limited Edition - 12/06/10 06:14 AM

If it had to be a knife that I currently have it would be the B11. Hopefully I would have the forethought to sneak in my S&W 629. Of course a Scrapavore would be piggybacked on the sheath.

Wow, Sumo! It looks like you're all about the LE's!

Re: The Dog Father Limited Edition - 12/06/10 06:42 PM

For me, it would have to be the DFCG. Oh and I would figure out some way to smuggle in the SW or Scrapivore CG along with my ez lap modle M sharpner.

Oh and a 2 way radio to call in the construction crew after the dropoff plane left!

Well only because I have an unused DFCG that may or may not get used

Re: The Dog Father Limited Edition - 12/07/10 12:35 AM

That's the NMSFNO, Pit.

BTW, I feel like I left Swamp Rat out, so the Ratweiler and M9LE would be top contenders on my list as well.

Does the cost of a Busse increase with the amount of letters in it's name !

The Yard should bring out a SYOMGWTFROTFLMAO !

Re: The Dog Father Limited Edition - 12/08/10 01:30 AM

I can't even remember all my Bussekin knives but from thinking about it for only a second...I would have to go with my BW Mistress. Its light for a bigger knife and Infi so no issues with corrosion, should chop and cut well and meet all my needs. Go to think about lugging the knife around with you and working on smaller tasks. I think the BWM would do all those things pretty well...My other choice would have been my SOD.
