kiridashi knife ? - 05/07/11 12:04 AM

Anyone else think a small Scrapyard version of a kiridashi knife would be cool.

I'm thinking something small( 3 1/2"-4" max ) that could be carried round the neck as a last resort knife/ferro-rod scraper.

Maybe Dan could could even scrounge some INFI off cuts to make em out of !!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

That would be interesting! I like a lot of mr Perrins designs!

Side note I'd love to see a reverse edge knife from the Scrap Yard 3 inches so legal in more places!

Y'all got your little skelly, I say Muks or an SS4 in 154cm (orange mudders) should be next in line unless we're ready for a cutlass or a falcata.

Yeah but not everyone has some INFI, this would be so affordable everyone could get one ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

To each their own, but I'd rather see "INFI scraps by the pound" than another necker right now.

Ban Tang did exactly this. He posted it on the Busse forum over at BF, I'm sure if you search you could find it.

The knife was both BadA$$ and artistic, really an amazing piece...

Oh if Dan makes it, I WILL buy it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Yeah they looked cool. Not gonna post any pics cos I heard that Dan won't make any blades that look like pics posted but just do a google search on Kiridashi knives and then picture a Scrapyard INFI version !!!!!
From what I understand the Japanese kids used to take em to school to sharpen their pencils and such !!!!!
