Huge thanks to Dan and Renee - 07/23/11 11:02 PM

...for warranting my Bulldog Regulator. not sure how I busted it but I somehow managed to lose about 1/4" of the tip.

Tale of woe goes like this, down at my Dad's loading up my retort (making lump charcoal) which entails all manner of wood mangling. Batoning, choping, hacking, splitting. Took my then new BdR and attacked a couple old pallets, multiple felled Mullberry trees, stacks of hard oak blocks.

Pic of the product here; [Linked Image from i44.photobucket.com] 55g full of wood yields 40g of lump charcoal.

Had the 18" Husq and some CS 2-hand machetes flying too. Got the wood loaded and the fire going and then noticed the break. I was the only one using it so had to be my fault. Only had it for a week and only had the new azwelke pancake for one day. Contacted Renee to see what they could do. Well, make me a whole new knife is what they did!!!

It's beautiful <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Sharpest factory edge I have ever received, pops hair easy. Kudos to Mike for doing a great job.

It looks so nice I don't wanna put it in the kydex or handle it too much, safe queen now!

That's awesome! They really do have great customer service!

I have a question though. I buy all my kydex from al, and will continue to do so because he has never let me down. I've never been offered a nylon drop loop though. Was that something you made yourself, or bought elsewhere?

I'm glad that things worked out for you P/B; now you know just one more reason why many of us "old timers" love this company! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I made the drop outta some seat belt material I have had laying around for 20 years. For some knives the tecloc is just not right. Cut it to length, marked the bolt holes through Al's holes, burnt through them with a glowing red Mapp gas heated bolt, assembled. Carries at the perfect crossdraw angle on the left hip at 10 o'clock.

Dang Macgyver...I like!! Any problems drawing the blade? Is it a two handed operation?

Nope, just one hand and a little thumb pressure on the raised section Al leaves and your ready to work INFI-style.

Everyone at the shop is awesome and they know good karma comes back around, you'll buy more SYKCO knives as a result of their great service = everybody wins <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I wish more companies understood this.
