WS 10-20 Impressions - 11/09/20 10:44 PM

Big Brown arrived and it’s a good thing you can’t see my happy dance. You might go blind!

Dan done REAL good on this one. The wide blade to length is so sweet. Won’t be mistaking this one for a steak knife. And the little “Dip” to the spine right before the handle is just right for your thumb. I got the neked blade so she will get a natural tan to her over time. Once again, can’t show knife porn cause there is kiddies reads this forum. But she shore is Prudy! The only thing I would change (nothing’s prefect, right) is the choil. For my frat stubby fingers it needs to be about an eighth an inch longer so you can put your finger actually on the blade in front of the handle. I’ll probably “Tone” her up sometime in the near future, along with helping her work on her “Tan”.

If I didn’t know better I would have thought she was an eighth inch thick. But at even the stated .115 inch I think she will be plenty strong except for maybe someone that tears New York Phone books in half. I don’t think anyone is going to have any “Flimsy” issues with this thing. YA DONE GOOD Dan. Yeah she will be a good slicer but I think she will work out pretty satisfactorily at a multitude of other tasks as well. I don’t have any sticks to whittle on right now but I have no doubt that she can do anything a lady like her could be asked to to do. I don’t know what they coat her in before shipping but may is that stuff “Gummy”. It seems like some cosmoline I’ve ran into in the past on some military items. Be prepared to spend a couple minutes getting it all removed. Once you do, you’ll see her standing proud in her Birthday Suit, something every man likes. grin

Check her out and try her out. I think you will find yourself well satisfied. I know Dan has to be.

Well something this “alluring” can make us all want to spend a little alone time with the object of our desire. And to make matters even more exciting she will let us do anything we want to her. Man, makin me sweat already. Well I looked in the fridge to see what I could find to “spice up” our relationship. I settled on two of my favorite condiments, spicy brown mustard and ketchup. I spread a liberal amount all over her blade and then filled in the gaps with the ketchup. I decided to just let her relax until I get home from watching the kids. Then I’ll give here a good shower, rub some oil all over her “action part” and see how she looks. I already know she likes playing dress up. I mean it was her idea for the forced patina sauna.

I’ll report back later on. But it may be quite some time as I suspect she’ll want quite a bit of personal attention when I return.

I am glad you like it. I took one to prep deer camp last weekend and I put it through its paces. Nice. I plan on cleaning a few deer this coming season...it should be fun

Well, my plan on an artificial tan on Da Girl didn’t work out to well. Yeah she did get a little bit of a tan line ( taped over the SYKCO emblem and also the flat on the opposite side as well). I think if the actual ground part darkens faster or more than the flats it will be a good contrast.
We’ll see what time will bring.

Mine came today and it is super sharp. It came with a thick coat of some kind of wax. Anyone else get one with the wax coating? Suggestions on removing it.......

I used paint thinner (mineral spirits) to clean my blades. wink

I just used a cloth and vigorous rubbing, then ran it under very hot tap water and it came off.. I think it might be some kind of cosmoline like substance.

Got mine today. Feels great in hand. Great blade profile. Even my wife said it would make a good skinning knife. I can’t wait to work it out.

It's a GREAT blade...it would be the last 4" blade I would sell if things were tough.
