My uncle lost his entire LP collection because he stored it under his 100 gallon aquarium. It was about 400 albums, many out of print.
This thing looks like a disaster waiting to happen.

yep.. i hear that..
I know plenty of folks that've experienced busted water heaters, broken toilet lines.. doesn't take much.. and soon Everything is flooded & soaked!
Broken toilet line happened to Us! In a 1-yr old newly constructed house! Luckily we were home! Gosh darned crappy construction these days!
..that one up there ^ ..yep looks kinda scary.

It would be a lot safer with acrylic tubing. I remember seeing some clear plastic pipe. It wasn't like glass but it was good enough and it was a lot more flexible than acrylic.
I just can't help but think that a little tap or the house settling will crack one seam and then it's all over.
Can you imagine just leak checking that thing?

My sisters tank leaks all the time. It has a ten year warranty and they say they never leak. I think they are going to tell her to go away soon. She has that kinda luck.
