Anyone see this? Good Lord, was like every paranoid thought I've ever had- all the worst ones too since becoming a father years ago!

Good movie...but, freaked me out! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sad.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I saw the movie and hope not to ever see anything like that. I have serious concern for my children and grandchildren.

Book was even more depressing. But a great read. The movie wasn't bad.

Agreed, I enjoyed the movie but loved the book. Worth reading, should only take you a couple evenings.

Don't think I could handle the book- the movie was hard enough!

Have a comedy mystery one to read!

Don't thank me until after you see it...might be more of "[censored] you and this movie too!" <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Viggo M is a fine actor but this was too grim for me...

The movie was a bit sad...what stood out to me was all the guns with no bullets.

The movie was quite depressing but can anyone name a movie or book with a positive outlook on the future?

Hell with you guys...I'm stocking up! Come on Dan...I need some SYKCO boolits <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

That movie made me want to focus on my .22lr skills. Easy to carry, and ammo galore. Can still easily kill w/in 100yds+ if you maintain tactical advantage. I'll digress.

LOVED the movie though...just made me question the civility of humans, that's all....no big deal or anything *shakes*....a few swings of the B11 makes all things right in the lands.

In a survival situation I don’t think that any caliber comes close to the versatility of a .22LR. In the movie, it looks like the pistol being fired is a .38 special. I just weighed a 158g .38 special on my triple-beam scale and it weighed 15.3 grams. For the same weight, you can carry 5 CCI .22LR HP 36g. cartridges.

I do believe a surpressed pistol and rifle in .22lr would be one of the best SHTF rifles--especially in something that is compact.

I really enjoyed it, mostly because it was realistic. I even bought it on Blu Ray <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I need to search feedback on these pistols (based on atchkinson design)...but they look like fun since they take the 26-rd mags <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> Put a little 4moa red dot on it and go to town! Hell, even scope it would be fun for hunting squirrels (not sure of accuracy though).

Ish, I know they use the Blackdog magazines which are plentiful. What would be really nice is to SBR it, have a stock for more applicable reasons, and suppressed. Then to top it off have a good pistol that accepts the same suppressor.

I hear ya. I have a .22 barrel & setup for me LMT MRP, from Spikes. Runs flawlessly....and is a hoot.

I think my next purchase is to get another Ruger 22/45 and drop a Tac-Sol upper on it for the ultimate lightweight pistol. I've got my eye on the new RP model, so I can throw some Busse grips on it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Book of Eli and Mad Max films kind of romanticize "end of the world" scenarios, The Road does not. Truly depressing movie. Even when there is potential for a couple feel good moments they are not because the whole situation is insane.

and don't get me started on Charlize Theron <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />
