I don't know, cp. I'm sure there were many subconscious influences. The SOD was one, even though it lacks a swedge, the profile is similar. The whole thing just sort of evolved on the grinder. I didn't really plan this project at all. I started out just grinding out the dimples and rough spots. When I got to the swedge, I initially just wanted to straighten it a bit.
