It along with the 411 were my first two Yard knives. The perfect companion knives imo. If it cant be done with those two, it cant be done.

I think the Safety Mutt and Mudd Mutt along with 911 or 1111 would be a awesome combination.

Very much so. Roughly the same specs.

Sometimes it's wiser to keep the driver in the bag and hit 3-wood off the tee. grin

I'm not a Bowler but I agree.

You see here's the problem, you go starting a thread like this just as I have decided I don't need a 911 while fondling my 711 and organising payment for the Dogfather I just snagged. Are you trying to send me bankrupt or what? wink

I have a Dogfather too. SOD X 3, 911 X 3, 411 X 2, 1111, Scrapmax 375 and 340. You need to catch up.

These are the best knives for the money hands down, and having a large number of them is defiantly worth it in my opinion.
But, with that said, most of us who have lots of dogs didn't buy them all at once, trying to do that can easily overwhelm your budget. I have found that you can amass a good group with a slow, steady buying pace.

The potential for models to be discontinued complicates this buying strategy, however older models can often be had on the BF exchange (and elsewhere) for reasonable prices.

There are some great deals on there sometimes and Skunk Hunters Specs thread with the issue prices helps a lot in knowing if your getting a fair shake.

I try to only have knives I am going to use. Thus the collection will sit as follows:

511, Scrapper 5, Scrapper 5 LE, 711, Dogfather (plus RMD and TGLB). smile
