Yes, Tom, the shots have helped reduce the pain a lot but it’s only temporary. The doctor said I can only have 3 or 4 per year.

That sounds like the Iovera treatment ; shots to "freeze" the nerves and lasts about three months. It's relatively new around here, and I'm glad my orthopedic surgeon uses it. It sure helped with my knee, and I'm getting it again for my second knee replacement. The only drawback was that one of the shots hurt like Hell for about a minute, then the pain went away. Definitely worth the pain though !

Good evening Yard. Another day of P/T for my neck, and they were happy to hear about my other knee replacement ; I will do P/T with them shortly after the surgery.

I didn’t know or forgot about your neck Tom. Hope everything goes well.

I have thinning between a few discs which causes some pain. P/T helps to strengthen the muscles affecting the neck ;not a "cure" but it seems to help some. I don't know if I will need a lamenectemy ? in the future, where they actually insert some bone between the discs. I guess time will tell.
