Just a couple more notes regarding this knife, it is several ounces lighter than the regular production BR and it has a very thin edge. This is one light, fast and yet durable knife and a great addition to any collection. In the close-up check out that temper line!

oh, right -- the BR i know was zone-hardened -- although i would have guessed that the satin one was through because the other tan-handled ones are, so that's a bit of a surprise... but i can't see a line on my ScrapLEs -- can you?

although i know it can be less distinct on certain metals...
