I really havn't used my cold steel hawk much- but I was pretty impressed the other day when I was clearing with it...

I always wished it was bit faster in the hand though- so when I saw the SOG Fasthawk, I figured I would try it. It chops pretty well for it's size, but push comes to shove, I like my Kukri, Battle Rat and Camp Tramp more.

But I figured I would do a mini-chop off with 3 of them. Here they are after 30...

The winnah! Thank you Battle Rat! I think if busse-kin were around back in the day (and SAKs)- this would be the Nessmuk Trio!

Check out this monster...couldn't resist. But, this is my second crack at a persian style...think I like the idea more than reality of them..

Here's a new Koyote too (redish handle) ...it's very cool! Another great woods blade...

Looks great RN, I have have a trail-hawk and I love it, I kept it stock except staining the haft, and I agree it is not super fast in the hand. I have thought about getting a second CS trail-hawk and trimming the haft, and sculpting the head down making a sleek fast CQB-ish tool/toy.

Thanks SAR...my last group of pics were coming out good and this batch was a step behind...couple are real blurry and I can't figure out why.

Getting out was my Turkey Day treat!
