One of my camping buddies acquired a black user dogfather a long time ago. I managed to score a Desert DF a few months back, but have managed to keep it new because I always use his when I go trekking. Well last time I was there, he mentioned how he wanted something lighter and more agile. I mentioned that I had a Junglas that I had only used a few times and I told him to go check out ESEE's website.

Anyways. The point of this story is that he wants to trade his DF for my Junglas the next time I visit!

Well thats a no brainer for me. How sweet is that?

Great trade, I love my Junglas for light brush work but the Dog Father is the Chopper of choice by many.

See things are looking up for you already!!!!

Thanks man! I love my Junglas too, but my B-10 LEs will fill the void.

I'll likely sell the Desert Dog Father and strip the user when I get it. I probably won't make it up to NH to see my buddy for a month or two, but I can definitely wait. Here's hoping he doesn't change his mind. I don't think he will; he is pretty stoked about the Junglas after reading up on it and watching YouTube videos about it.

I have both knives, and both are great. However, you WILL come out ahead with the DogFather! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I completely agree. The great thing about it is how much easier it is to get another Junglas than to get a DF. I've always wanted an original black DF as well.

I'll likely get another Junglas one day when I have some expendable income.

Thanks MTK!

Sounds like a heck of a deal. I would not think twice. Nothing against ESEE blades though.
