I don't have a R6 or a 711, but I have a Camp Tramp, which I understand is very similar to the 711, just with little more belly in the blade and a round choil. All I can say is that I can't really think of any way to improve it as an all-around camp knife. It has a superb feel in the hand and the blade geometry is just about perfect. I say 711 all the way, if you don't like it I'll buy it from you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I honestly can't remember hearing of a single person not liking the 711.
You just can not go wrong there!

So I ordered my Rodent 6... Will have to wait until after Knob Creek to see about getting a 711.

Now if only my Rodent 9 would show up, its been forever :'(. Ordered June 18 still no knife <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.
