511 Or SS5?

511 all the way in my book.

Well I'm new to these knives and haven't held a SS5 but I like my 511 a whole lot. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Scrapper 5 hands down. You cant beat the mudder handle, and I think it looks better too.

I've never handled a 511, but, The S5 mudder handle looks like it be a little roomier. I like the blade shape and grind on the 511. Not much help, I know.

SS5 hands down.

The 511 blade shape is what wins it for me. I do prefer the other handle.

I sold my SS5s...

Someone needs to do a little head to head match up! I'm curious how they perform next to each other...

Mudders! The Scrapper 5 is one of the best blades to come out of the yard imo. And the 511's handle just doesn't fit my hand <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Never handle the S5 but I love the mudder grips.

The S5 is very similar to a RMD with the Mudder handles. I use my sheath for the RMD for the S5 and vice versa, so they're fairly close.

Really! I thought the 511 was closer in shape to the S5. Interesting!

I have a 511and a S5LE, I do carry the 511 more. It mostly due to the smaller handle witch makes it a slimmer profile. But in the woods hunting the mudders are hard to beat.

I dont have the 511 anymore, didnt fit my hand right so it got the axe

This thread has me considering a 511 rehandle.

I only own the 511 but I after owning maaaany other knives in this size category, I would give it the nod. Very light, compact, easy to sharpen, handle ergos, and tough as nails. I have the MO 511 camo version, but the black one is basically the same thing.
