ELMAX 460 up close

Got my 460 yesterday and took some close ups with a scope at 10x.

I like this blade a lot. It is longer than I imagined from the pics which is perfect because this will be a kitchen knife for me. Beef sharpened mine and it is sharp! Shaved hair and easily push cuts paper. Might be the sharpest blade I have received from the yard so far. Thanks SYKCO!

the edge on my 460 is alot rougher than the blade show elmax blades i have.

Cool photo idea.I like the detail that the laser is capable of. The edge detail is interesting, mine was sharpened by beef also. Looks coarse, but very sharp. It might illustrate my more recent preference for sharpening to only 400 grit, then strop.

Good pictures. I got my 460 and it was just as sharp as the one from Blade. The only thing to do now is get some kydex for them - can't use the cardboard for too long.

Are you going to strop it? It would be great to see what difference that makes on the edge....if you do an after shot

Wow, that is up close. Can't wait to finally get hold of my 460.

Great pics. I wonder what a good stropping would do to the edge...

I've found it really helps a lot on most bussekins.
