The SYKCO 1311 knife will be available to order on Monday, August 27th 2012 and will be posted to the shopping cart after 9:00 pm eastern time. This knife would normally be priced at $239.95 but this is being offered at a customer appreciation price of $199.95 plus shipping and handling.

These knives are only available to ScrapYard Knife Forum Members. You will be able to place your order in the normal fashion of using the shopping cart on the ScrapYard website. There is no limit on the number of knives that a forum member can purchase. If you are at a Junk Yard Dog status (1000+ posts) and want your JYD number etched in the blade, free of charge, please add this to the special instruction box. Only one knife can be etched with the JYD number.

When you place your order in the shopping cart you will be required to enter your forum name and member number in the special instruction box towards the end of the check-out process. Your member number can be found by clicking on your forum name in the user list or visiting your profile page. The information should be listed in the following manner:

Man that is one good looking piece of steel. I got the email and realized how lonely my Dog Father LE has been with only a scrapper 6 to keep it company.

I was channelling Dan but was a bit hopeful on the price. I still can't convince him to put a Regulator handle on a big chopper though. Maybe next year.

Now all we are missing is the even numbers, like the 411 with the mudder handle and the 611 with the regulator handle. Must be the basic style handles are the favorites.

Take another look at the first post in this thread -- I believe that you're eligible to buy once you sign up as a forum member. They'll go up in the store (http://shop.scrapyardknives.com/) on Monday night, and you can place an order for 1311s then. That's how I read it anyway.

Good price for such a big knife but I'll pass, not something I have any use for.

Here's hoping the 611 is 3/16" thick as well....now that would be a usefull tool !!!

I believe you have time they usually don't charge until ready to ship and I don't think they are made yet. I could be wrong about that though.

Received the 1311 e-mail offer the other day and coincidentally I have been looking for a large chopper for a while, I just never thought to considered one this large at 13.5 inches.

This deal is almost too good to pass on, so come tomorrow night I may just be getin me a biggun, and if the Zombie Apocalypse ever materializes I will be ready.

Seriously though, I live in the sticks and will find some uses for this baby, starting with my bamboo patch. I think the SR101 steel will be up to the task.

Me so happy. I have missed my B11 ever since I had to sell it. Looks like a new Baldric rig will have to be made. Got an idea for this blade, a Revolver, and Baldric rig--got to have some support for so much steel on it. Thanks Dan!

Don't worry, there will be a resale market latter on for that miss this. Mine will have my JYD number so it will not matter and since I can only afford one I think the more people that get in on it the better. I do like the new business model so much better than the older one. Here is to the Yard!

The standard answer from the Yard for any new release is 4 - 16 weeks. Hope it's not too soon. I'm still trying to recover from Blade, Ganza and production offerings.

Yeah, after owning & using several BWM's I will say 3/16" is plenty for this length of blade and it should be light enough to still be packable. Plus, it has a way better handle as you can see on this chopping comparison we did. 5 blade Busse chopoff I've been asking for this or a kukri version over on BF for over two years now and very happy to see it.

I would say no as Dan did not specifically state that it was. I don't think they make any diff tempered blades any more. With the Busse heat treat and guarantee, not really any need to.

I haven't heard of ant ditt tempered blades lately.
I couldn't imagine my 711 performing better with a diff temper...

Well as some of you know I have had some health stuff going on. Today was my first day back to school--made it through just fine, but after grabbing a bite to eat I fell asleep right before 9 Eastern. The thing that got me was that my join number is like a 22##.............how many people have we had join to? Is 1311 still possible to order???

It's still up on the website I would assume u can still order. You have to order thru there and include yur member name, member number and JYD number if u want it etched on your knife for free info goes in the special instruction box when ordering. If u forget this info yur order will be cancelled.

The JYD# is only needed it you are Junk Yard Dog... And want it etched on the blade.
If not, it is only forum name and member # that has to be entered in the special instructionsbox.
