Prayers Needed.

My brother and sister dogs, I have been so saddened by the news that my dear little sister, Karen, has stage 4 cancer in her lungs, back and legs. She is so weak and in much pain. She has been an inspiration to many. Karen claims to be an atheist, but I have her permission to pray for her. I figure the more folks who pray for her, the better. I don't care what god you pray to, ask him or her to bless my wonderful sister. Thanks, dogs.

WHEN YOU CAN, think on the good times you had together and just be there for her. It helps a lot. My wife with through this back in '02 with her sister, her best friend.

Thanks to all of you for your prayers. Karen is able to eat now, and though very weak, she is getting some pain relief. I spoke with her today, and she actually appreciated those prayers. I assured her that she would be alright, knowing that none of us knows when our number is up, but God knows. Thanks again, Dogs. Looks like she will at least have one more Christmas. I pray for all of you, even though I don't personally know all of you.

Thanks for the update. Are prayers will continue and I hope she understands why we are praying for her.

Good news Vic. Hope everyone can keep a positive attitude, something that is at times VERY hard to do. And YUP, not gonna stop praying for all of you.

I t saddens me that anyone needs to be in that much pain. Prayers sent.

I guess the prayers for me helped, too. Had my VA checkup today. Lost 23 lbs eating beef, pork, bacon and eggs and drinking lots of beer. BP down, too. Go figure. Low carbs (less bread, rice, grits, mashed potatoes) seems to really work. I did increase fruits and vegetables to offset the carb cravings. It helped to have a caring, loving partner, too.
