911 & Rodent 9 Chopsville - 09/15/13 09:19 AM

Had a chop sesh this arvo with the Rodent 9 and 911. Sorry the last bit of the video is a bit out of focus. Music by yours truly (instrumental version of a Dead Kelly track - What Bushrangers Are Doing Now) smile

Followed by beer...

Nice vid, thanks for sharing! I can't compare mine as they're all packed away, but the R9 in your pic looks bigger than the 911: did its size and weight make it more effective than the 911? Which was most comfortable in the hand? I would've thought that the Res C helps on the 911.

Well the Res C 911 is very comfortable and shock absorbing, but it did give me a blister. That would be becasue my hands are ladylike and all arty and musiciany. smile

The R9 is very comfortable too. I love the handles on these things. They look odd and feel odd at first grasp but when you start wailing with it, you can understand why it's designed the way it is. Rolls with your hand nicely and no hot spots. For me anyway.

I have say the R9 chopped better than the 911, but not drastically. They both have the same blade length, but the R9 has the larger full exposed tang handle which makes them two very different knives to use.

Good choice feederle! Swamp Rats are good too, I really like micarta handles and black blades! The Rodent series is good, but the stand out Swamp Rat is the RMD, fantastic ergos.

I love the R9 and how it feels in the hand. The grip on it was made for slashing and chopping.
