Shop On

We are just getting ready to go Black Friday Shopping. This is a tradition that Patti and I started when we were first married and living in Chicago...I do not recommend that you take up this tradition LOL. Patti will treat me to breakfast so its not all bad and insane.

The good news is that we will be done in less than 3 hours and then onto the shop. I hope to post a pic of the new offering and possibly something interesting

We've got this one friend and her daughter that get up at 0300 to hit the sales on Black Friday and LOVE IT!

I went one time and did NOT enjoy it. Never went again. Have a good day Dan.

I used to cover the Black Friday shopping for the newspaper. I hated getting in front of that crowd.

Always felt like I was going to be stampeded.

I can't do it. Too many people. I try to have christmas shopping done in october.

I failed this year but I have 90% of it done. I have one person I can't figure out what to get or I would have been done last week.

Does it bother anyone else that Dan never says "knife". Only an "offering".

I stayed home all day. We munched on leftovers, worked out, went for a family stroll, played in the backyard…was nice and relaxing.

Oh, and I bought some steel! But, not a knife. I bought a Skid Plate for my Tacoma

I had to miss black Friday due to being sick, so my plan is to have fun with cyber monday today after work!

I already spent my money elsewhere so I guess you could call that moving on.

Unfortunately, I fear that a LOT of Dogs are "moving on" due to the lack of communication. Our forum just isn't the same.

I'm not waiting on a new release. If I see something else from another company that suits me, I'll go ahead and get it. At this point, a bird in the hand beats nothing.

It is a weird situation around here. I mean why all the "testing" of the new knife? The 1311 was supposedly drawn up during the sip and talk then released shortly after. The 1111 was never even mention and then showed up at a knife show or 2. I am kinda over all the hype and being led on.

Oh and I cannot bring myself to buy any of the current offerings due to the price hikes after the new websites were rolled out. This business model is growing tiresome to me.

One more thing, whats up with asking us about handle color and then only selling the Muks at the shows leaving us to pay crazy mark-up if we want one? I sure hope all these things will be available to us eventually but at this point what does it matter.

The only valid excuse for the lack of information is, if the knife keeps snapping when tested.

I mean, as I understand it from Dan, there is a finished knife ready.
It can not be so big a problem just to post a pic...

I'm afraid that it will take more than just a new knife release to bring back the Yard to what it once was.

Lots of Dogs are getting frustrated to the point of leaving, and I can't blame them.

Check out Jerry's post over at Busse's Bladeforums site; there is still hope for a Christmas offering. I'm just concerned that it won't be enough to bring back so many frustrated Dogs.

Crossing my fingers, hoping there will be an offer I can make into a nice Christmas present to myself.

wow i just actually read the thread.its embarrassing how he makes a "promise" like that then just does nothing. This is why i disappeared. little to no communication and when he does its to buy himself more time to do idk what.
If they were really serious about being in touch with us they would at least show us a picture, some testing videos...something. For all we know, there is no knife. The price hike was a huge letdown and prevented me from buying a couple of them.

It seems their arrogance has gotten to a few from what ive read about other people leaving and i cant blame them. Ive allocated my funds to other knifemakers who communicate better and have items on hand. Not to knock bussekin quality, we all know they rock but why should we accept being treated like this?

Maybe we can turn this around but we can only vote with our money.

Id really like to see this change from what it seems its become.

Not really, haven't had the time to devote to it, an occasional handle, but that's about it. House is good, kitchen is done, been doing a bit of work on the back yard, need to redo the pool and the master bath, then I guess it's done for the moment.
