Hey Dan! What´s next? ;)

Posted By: feederle

Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/19/14 05:38 PM

Having statisfied the forum vote with the Mud Mutt and it and the 711 being sold out - what do we have to prepare next for?
there would be a numerological spot for a 611, 811 and 1211. And then from the 1411 onwards iu the Sykco line...(I guess no one of us has a need for a 111 and 211 ;P)

Or will it be the long awaited Scrap Yard Kukri?

Tell us what you got in mind - and get ready to have something waiting for the 1 Mio posts - we are working HARD!

Cheers,
Daniel

SYKO Zulu style hunting spear with Infi tip!

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/19/14 06:33 PM

I would settle for an 8" bladed Elmax with DogFather style handle!!! grin

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/19/14 06:34 PM

So what´s Elmex? The handle I found googleing ;P

Elmax Muk! Please!!!!!

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/19/14 06:37 PM

Elmax is a type of steel; Dan used it on a few short runs. The blades are thin and VERY sharp. They EXCEL in the kitchen!!! wink

My vote as well. I've been asking for a big chopper with the Regulator handle since the release of the TT Reg.

14 or 1511 that is a quarter inch thick. Use it like a golok!

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 12:11 AM

I like the idea of a scrap axe
Posted By: feederle

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 05:49 AM

Axe also sounds pretty interessting...
Posted By: t1m0

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 10:52 AM

Axe is interesting.

El-Muk is a necessity.

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 11:52 AM

I take it that you're talking about a hatchet as opposed to an actual axe with long handle. confused
Posted By: rth548

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 11:54 AM

Yeah, I could swing a hatchet.
Posted By: rth548

Pun intended!

Yard Hawk?
Posted By: Private Klink

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 06:49 PM

Not likely, since there was already the RattleHawk and the SniperHawk. (brain fart just occurred blush)
Posted By: Hooplehead

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/20/14 11:43 PM

I also vote for a 1211. 5/16" thick, regulator handle.

Ill concede to the veteran dogs. you know best.

7.5 inch, .275 inch SR101, Drop point. Call it the Pug Ugly.

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/22/14 05:11 AM

You just about described the ChopWeiler. wink

Hmmm...thinking...Yeah but the chopweiler wasn't .275 and have a Res C handle. smile
And the chopweiler didn't have a ultra convex saber bevel...Different knife... altogether.
Posted By: Private Klink

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/24/14 06:27 AM

.275 is too thick for that sized blade; even .250 is stretching it. But a Res-C handle would be nice! wink

Stretch the Yard Guard to 9 inches, make it in SR101 and slim it down to about .210.

But what would you call it?

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 03/24/14 09:33 PM

I guess that's like a Cousin Mojo.

Now THAT would be the ultimate Zombie Slayer.

10 inch wide double edge spear with "Ears" so the Zombies couldn't climb up the shaft. Oh and it would need a 6 ft shaft to fit on.

Re: Hey Dan! What´s next? ;) - 04/17/14 06:02 AM

An Infi version of the Cold Steel Boar Spear is what you kind of described Randy. smile

Another one I'd like to see is a Sgian Dubh. Most of the one's I see online are for ceremonial show or over the top expensive.

I haven't had the urge to try a kilt yet.

Speaking of Dan...we don't hear/see him often here anymore. It seems like Jerry's business model has decided to stock a standard line of knives (SYKCO 11 series) with occasional limited editions (Mutt). I expect new knives will be few & far between.
