i dont really use fixed knives much but like to buy, hold, trad and sell them. they have done me well by holding value and more than not gaining value.

the only scrapyard i have is a regulator but i just ordered the safety mutt and 511.

i search ebay for sold knives to see demand and inventories available, havnt seen a safety mutt but i have seen regulators and 511's fetching more than what you can buy direct for. the sold out 711 commands a nice premium.

my question is, for the purpose of collecting and potentially reselling, what are the better models out there, im guessing discontinued and sold out items will garnish more money and demand.

All of the Bussekin knives fit your description. wink The ones that you can't readily get will always be collectable.

Yep. And it really comes down to what is the buyer willing to pay. It's not so much a set value as the value to you personally.

That's exactly the way knife makers price their products. wink

Heck some guys have even gifted knives. It's a different mentality here.

I wouldn't say collectors as much as users and abusers. I don't have a single Scrapyard blade that hasn't seen the field.

I can second that! Three members here have sold me knives for what they paid for them. Good people here! I cherish those people and the knives. The knives will never be sold by me.

I have been given knives, I have given knives and I have sold knives for what I had in them. MANY here have done that. A GREAT Bunch of Dogs here, for sure!

I know of many Dogs who have given away hundreds, and in at least once case, thousands of dollars of knives. The attitude, the caring of the Dogs here is nothing short of miraculous.
