Busse at Knob Creek fall 15 who is going?

Who else is going to try to go to the fall show and knob creek this year?

I'd love to go this year, but won't make it.

They always have a nice selection of knives there and they usually have some old school blades there too.

Think I'm. Going to try. Gotta put in for the days and work overtime for fun funds

There will be and I'm sure you will see some old school scrappers there. You need to get there on Thursday for the pre-show.

I just put in to get Thursday-Friday off for that.

You might not need to front the money if they handle it like they have in the past. Just provide the name, etc. of the person you're proxying for.

Klink, If they have your cc info on file, and I am sure they have yours, they can just bill and ship straight to you. Makes it easy for the proxy. Just call them before the show and let them know

Will they ship it for me? Lol they have more experience shipping knives without sheaths than me lol.

Yes, just give the knife to one of the Busse crew and tell them who your proxying for, they will bill their credit card and ship it to them.

I've done it many times at Blade and its a super easy process.

Are you going to make it to Knob Creek this year?

If you're talking to me, the answer is no.

If you had to choose between Knob creek and Blade.. which is more fun,, and which is a better chance to get a blade at factory cost?

I've never been to blade but from what I hear blade is pretty awesome but idk how hard it is to get knives there. Normally from what I have heard its pretty easy at knob creek.

I've been to 3 knob creek shows and 7 blade shows. For fun, the blade show is hands down funner. The Fuddruckers dinner and especially the induction dinner is so awesome. It is a giant party and if you never went to a blade show you need to go.

For cool knives Knob Creek is best in my opinion. They have more coated knives and more old school knives at Knob Creek. I've always seen more old school Scrapyards also at Knob. It seems like there are more high end customs and satin knives at the blade show.

I don't know BC, seems like the few KC I have been to have had an abundance of "fancy" knives. Lots of wood and exotic handles. Cool if thats your thing. Agree about best chance to find an older style knife.

Shoot,, then I'll just have to go to both and decide for myself!

That hasn't been the case for the 3 knob creeks I've been to, but it has been a few years ago. I've been able to get some of the nicest Scrappers and Busse knives from my collection there plus there are usually some old school knives there also.

So what time does the Busse even at knob creek start?

In the evening, they will be posting the exact times of the pre show on Thursday at the Golden Manor. I will be going also, will be nice to see everyone there!

This mirrors what I've seen recently also, although there will still be at least a few purty gals on the table. Most will probably just be coated or satin w/ micarta or G-10 I would wager.

I can't bring myself to pay for a hotel room unless I really do NEED it, I'll probably just drive back home the same night of the thursday show like last year. it really wasn't too bad, but it is a lot of driving in one day going there and back.

Sure if I can find one... Do they accept credit/debit at the show so I don't have to bring a stupid amount of cash?

I will contact Lexi so that you won't have to worry about the cash. She will have my information, so all you have to do is pick one up and give it to her (or whichever Busse employee) and they can take it from there.

For the guys who have gone before they accept a debit/credit card there right? I don't want to have that much cash on me if I don't need to.

They will take your info and then bill the card when they get back to the shop....that's what most seem to do there.

Busse does take debit or credit cards. They also do cash, checks and even trades on guns too lol. Have fun at the show!!!

Thanks I saw a war dog I want. This is a chance for me to try to score some infi because I didn't want to spend to much money on knives I couldn't handle first.

Renee, you know that it will be like a bunch of Piranha in a feeding frenzy! Where only the strong and quick will survive.

It's a place you don't want to get to close to unless you have body parts you don't mind doing without.
