Group Buy for SYKCO Chop House Patriot Leather

I email Skyler from Patriot Leather on a group buy for the SYKCO Chop House. Its the Gaspee design just like for the Busse Battle Saw. We will need at least 10 people to sign up for it which my buddy and I will get one each so thats two already.

The price will be $80.00 shipped and you can get different color leather and stitching.

I was going to get a cheap kydex sheath, but it would be anywhere from $45 to $65 for kydex and you can get a beautiful leather sheath for $80.00.

I just wanted to try to pass on a good deal to everyone on here.

There is no interest in this sheath?

It's a good deal. I'm waiting to see how the battle saw group buy goes. If I had ordered ones of these I'd be one but I didn't.

Great deal and very tempting. But I think this is going to be a car blade. Cheap machete sheath I think.

I would be interested to see how he deals with that large upswept swedge before I do anything.

Is this for both thicknesses? I'd be in for one.

This was a question I thought of also. I'll email him to find out for sure and get back with you on it.

Leather is my Favorite sheath material, just something about it draws me. BUT in this case I will have to decline. I know how this puppy will get tossed around in the Jeep and in use so I will have to go with Plastic, at least for now. Please post pics when y'all get your sheaths in.

Thanks FatDog, Hopefully we can get a few more while people get their Chophouses in. I'll see how we do in the next few days before I post the group buy in blade forums.

$80 for a quality leather sheath is a good deal. I didn't get in on the Chophouse (regretfully) or I would have probably ordered one. The only issue I see with the sheath design is the two snaps at the belt loop. I'd be concerned about the weight of the chophouse swinging popping those open.

Personally I wouldn't be to concerned about the snaps coming open just by the weight of the knife swinging around. I have a Bulldog Regulator in a dangler attachment like that from Rainwalker and it's never been an issue. Oh and it also has an Eze-lap model M diamond sharpener too. So I would say the weight of mine is equal to or greater than the chophouse.

Just looked, the Bulldog supposedly is 14.4oz and the ChopHouse Leaner 15oz.

I have a sheath from Skyler for my 1111,, believe me,, those are military grade snaps. No way they would accidentally come open.. heres the thread with pics

Good to know about the snaps. I have a couple of Savage made sheaths, and the snaps come open easily.

I got one more lean cut for Jackell.

Mods if you get a chance to update the original post, please do when you get a chance.

I'm also going to post on blade forums today, so maybe we can get 3 more over there, but i'll keep you posted in this thread when we get more.

The Chops are in!

No fear on the snaps, we use the same fasteners the military uses, Dot Hard Action snaps. Those soft snaps are a product of Tandy, they are meant for hobby projects.

I've had a few questions about the Flintlock vs the Gaspee design, We can do either model at the same price for you.

Looks like a great sheath! I tried to PM you some questions on here, but I think you need to set that up on your account.

I wanted to ask if you could set up this group buy on your website similar what you did for the battle saw?

I was unable to post the group buy on blade forums busse forum since they don't allow group buys on their sub forum anymore.

I can post a link on their site to the group buy and we might be able to get the 3 more needed to make this group buy happen.
