IF a retaining strap comes with the sheath. Can it be put in the other side so as to not cut the strap upon removal or inserting the blade?

On these sheaths it should
I honestly never used them personally except on the exposed spine sheaths.
But I see your point now.
Some folks like it on the spine as it lines up with your thumb to unsnap the snap, but I guess they could undo it on the edge side with your pinky ?

I just use my index and thumb and pinch and pull if theres a little meat left after the snap that is..

I see some shiny brass, a skeletonized bipod, a locked magazine, a pistol grip and possibly a stabilizing monopod. Oh did I say it was a BIG magazine?
