The blade came less then shaving sharp which was ok because I wanna break her in anyhow. The knife was comfortable the whole time. I tore apart the whole set of steps with is but only include some basic pics.

Ballsy stuff to do to your new knife but it sure makes me feel good buying a new Mojo (when its offered for sale). No worries about breaking it if I really need to hammer it. Thanks for testing your new blade and sharing the pics.

Yeah guys I am gonna do ALOT more to this puppy so I am gonna keep updating with stuff I do. I wanna keep her so no breaking is in order for it but I do want to see what this SR77 can do. I have found that it does not get as nasty sharp as some other steels but gets an edge that is very good for wood work and chopping. The thing is THICK and I have no fears of battoning or prying with it. I just make sure I am not prying with the very tip(though I think that could take alot). I am happy with the sheath and it is a comfortable fit and rides well. The coating as always is great and gets a smoothness to it instead of just tearing off. I do recommend reprofiling the edge if you are going to do alot of slicing with it. I pulled mine back to around 20 degrees on both sides and I am certain it was thicker than that when I got it. It slices much better however Its probably not going to handle the impacts as well. We'll See. Cannot wait to see more. This ones got me excited.

those are great pictures, thanks for the info on the edge and reprofiling.

I can't wait until my first purchase. It is going to have to be one of the larger models though

I want to know, as i do not plan on chopping metal with mine, so this allows me to live vicariously.
it is nice to see these bad boys put to hard use. Gives one confidence in the blade.

I have the distinct feeling that if it is from the Busse group you can have confidence in the blade! Tom

The way the coating is wearing down, it almost appears to have a penetrator tip!

Re: Scrapper S6 use W/PICS!!!!! - 09/21/06 06:08 AM

If these knives are made from the same type of steel used in jackhammer bits, then they should certainly be able to penetrate thin metal.
