Warning- Dirty Pics !!!!

Set off for a hike today in glorious sunshine but that turned to heavy rain then back to sunshine then back to rain.....well you get the idea !



The knife I took was my little SwampWarden, shown here in an Arbutus.....

A pic of some bracket fungus I spotted....

Ok now onto the dirty stuff, Maisy stopped for a drink but then spotted something in the water.....

Whatever it was she seemed determined to get it.....

She was not going to give up this one without a fight.....

But in the end she had to admit defeat as time was getting on and we had the long walk back to the start, Maisy did not look impressed !!!!!

Great photos I had heard of arbutus because there are some streets in van named that but had not known what they looked like. I just got a tree ID book i am excited to try out.
