Australia Orders - 09/09/06 12:47 AM

Hi. I have sent you guys a couple of emails regarding this, but just thought I would ask on the forum also.

I want to put my order in for 2 scrappers, one for me and one for a mate. I have bought knives from Busse, Swamp Rat and the Busse company store.

I want to get my order in asap incase you guys sell out. One of the scrappers I want is for a mate that will be going on deployment very soon, so I am hoping to get in.

Cheers, Nick.

Nick, Have you tried Andy's phone number? It's not as though your not known around here.
I haven't tried it but I can't see a problem. As long as you don't send the bill to Andy as well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />:D

I havent tried yet mate, still waiting on an email. You also need to put in a US post code, as the Australian one will not be accepted. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Well, actually, it's not my phone number, but the number of my local time, temp, and weather forcast. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Handy if you ever want to know the weather in my area. Might come in handy before you head to a 1500 gunshow. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Once again, that number is: (765) 649-3111.

Will it let you put all zeros or something? If you need a zip code too, you could use 46012. That's an Anderson, Indiana zipcode.

Re: Australia Orders - 09/10/06 12:47 AM

Thanks for the help Andy. I am not to sure if I should give it a try or not, because the site has got no international shipping info either. Its been 48 hours since I sent and email, so I hope I get some feed back soon. I understand they must be pretty bussy at the moment though.

Well, if they won’t ship international or you can’t get an answer from them and you need a US address to ship to and remail for you I’d help ya out if you need it, just lemme know. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Re: Australia Orders - 09/10/06 01:24 AM

Ok, I just put an order in for 2 scrappers. However it is saying my order can not be processed. I put all the correct CC info in , gave all my details, so I am not sure what is going on. Also what is the score with shipping, it came up as 18.95.. Thanks, Nick

Re: Australia Orders - 09/10/06 01:28 AM

I just checked my banking and my CC is all good, so I don't whats the go.

Re: Australia Orders - 09/10/06 01:32 AM

Hi perksy,

Rather than selecting "Pay by Credit Card", please select "Print and Call". The software should reserve your order pending an email with your information. Send that email to "sales@scrapyardknives.com" and be sure to include any order #'s.

The shipping charges would be correct for US orders, however, adjustments will need to be made for international orders.

Hope this helps.

Re: Australia Orders - 09/10/06 04:30 AM

I got a conformation email thanking me for my order, but it also said it was unable to process the order and a customer rep yould get back to me.

I will not put in another order incase it doubles up, but I will send all my details to the email address above. thanks for the help and I look foward to hearing from you shortly. Nick.

I hope you fellows "down under" get all squared-away so you can order some knives. I just ordered one a few days ago, and am really looking forward to receiving it. Good luck ! Tom

@Mod
These pesky Australians always order first, at least they can't beat us in Rugby.

Just ordered the S6 from South Africa by using the dummy address I use for the Swamp. Regrettably I ended the purchase with direct credit card payment which obviously doesn't include the overseas shipment. Please subtract the additional payment from my card.

Thanx

Re: Australia Orders - 09/11/06 05:22 PM

bodhi_,

Please be sure to send an email to sales@scrapyardknives.com with your order # and correct information so that your order can be corrected.

In the future, please select "Print and Call" for international orders. Entering credit card information will not work because your card will not validate with the incorrect information given. Catch 22. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Glad you all love your Scrappers! I'm just waiting for Paypal details to pay 'em for my order.. If that knife is half as good as I think it'll be, I'll have a new favorite.

Re: Australia Orders - 09/17/06 05:36 AM

I'm sure that you will be happy with your Scrapper as well. Let us know when you receive your knife, and your thoughts on it. Tom

Re: Australia Orders - 09/17/06 06:24 AM

Gravelface, thanksagain for the ratweiler. My mate was very happy with it and has since used it a couple of times and put a razor edge on it. I ordered 2 scrappers, one for my collection but more importantly the other is for a mate that will take it on deployment soon. He had seen how good our rats and busses were and just had to join the club. Its gonna be heaps better than the Ontario pilot survival knife he currently uses.

I'm sure you fellows will really like your Scrappers. Good luck and best wishes to your deployment mate. Tom

Re: Australia Orders - 09/19/06 02:47 PM

It would be nice to see more of our Aussie brethren from the Swamp post over here. They seem like a bunch of great guys. I can personally attest to Ian - Trumby - as being a top-notch guy! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

I have had dealings with Persky....he is a great person to work with in my book!

Re: Australia Orders - 09/19/06 11:44 PM

perksy - why not have your mate join the brethren here? I know a couple of Rats from the Swamp managed to stay in occasional contact even while they were in Iraq. I realize that not everybody has access to a computer every day, but a friendly email from us might provide some encouragement once in a while. I want to visit their....I hear they have one of the lowest percentages of STDs in the world, but some of the highest skin cancer rates.....I guess it is a trade off.

Re: Australia Orders - 09/20/06 02:23 PM

One of the lowest percentage of STD's - I guess you're not thinking of taking the wife on a getaway vacation! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> High skin cancer rates - guess there's a shortage of high SPF lotions? Actually, I would love to take a vacation there, and requested Australia for my R&R while I was in VietNam. However, I had to settle for Japan - a GREAT time as well! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Re: Australia Orders - 10/01/06 06:34 AM

All the more reason to carry a Yard BOWIE in the Outback! By the way Paul, just HOW do you know about the sheep ?!?
Posted By: Paul the Brit'

Re: Australia Orders - 10/01/06 01:14 PM

Err realtives down there.. I once asked (having seen documentaries) how dangerous the wildlife really was down there in Oz, reply 'everything is dangerous except some of the sheep'! (It is also a quote from a British comedy writer called Terry Pratchet I think that's where they got it from.) Yep trips to OZ mean you need a BIG SR77 BOWIE!!

Re: Australia Orders - 10/02/06 12:17 AM

Why Paul - what a GREAT idea - a BIG SR77 BOWIE!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Re: Australia Orders - 10/02/06 02:45 AM

Fingers crossed!! The 2 scrappers should be here this week. I am keen, but my mate is chomping at the bit. Everytime I see or speak to him he asks when his knife is coming. Also him and a couple of other mates came in to my work on Saturday (for a beer haha) and he jumped straight on the net to show them all a pic of the scrapper.

I will try and get som pics of the bad boy in use, and some when I get the sheath made for it.
