Hi Everybody,

I need 907 post to make JYD, my goal would be to do it before blade.

35 days from now, so that is 26 posts a day, I think I can do it ?

I have been on BF for more than 8 years & barely have 3000 post, this may be hard.

I will have to do it in between sheaths & family time.

Yeah, when I saw someone snag #68, I was thinking... "hmm, only 950 posts until I can get JYD # 69". Unfortunately, someone else got 69 a few days later, so I would have had to be posting hundreds of times per day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

Go get you an internet hookup through your cell phone carrier. I have it on my laptop and it is nice. In fact, I am using it on a borrowed laptop until I can get mine back.

"Disappear" was probably the wrong word. "excessive lurking" is probably more like it. Read most of it most every day!

I might someday. I just have so many other things going on right now I didn't bother with internet, cable or home phone when I moved back in December. I don't have a GG&G battle axe but I do have a Swamp Rat Crash Axe you can examine we we have our get together.

Sounds great MM. I have some nerve damage issues that don't let strap a pack to my back and hike up a mountian anymore. So now stay in areas I can get to in my 4WD pick-up and work out of a base camp.

I am thinking that if I go with a brown or green handle the Marine or Army digi will look good.

I can not tell the colors in detail since I am on an older laptop. How close does Dan's new pics (combo thread) match in color with the digi on ACU and Desert?

just my opinoin but i think that the brown handle would be to dark for the desert digi and the green handle might be too light for the acu digi. But i dont really mind it will still look sweet <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

That looks sick David! You might want to make the tip fully enclosed though. Does it stick out and grab at all?

I'm a big fan of sheaths where there are some removable fasteners instead of rivets - convenient to be able to take the fasteners out and flex the thing open a bit to clean it out.

i assume the bevels are for style. probably don't offer much in utility, but that's not a utility knife anyway.

Unlike the sheaths that are put together with screws there are no screws to lose, & you can still completely clean it out, my Exposed spine sheaths kind of work along the same principal.

from where I hit the hardened steel blade yes, crushed the edge a bit in the shape of the blade, but it sharpened out.

everything else no, handles of the DO, bricks, sign & the other stuff no damage at all.

I feel left out, when I ran off to college, I took no guns with me. Still have a few hunting rifles in my parents' safe that are technically "mine", but they live 800 miles away, so...

I've had three now I guess and I'm back to Benchmades. Started with an AR, had it majorly modded. Then an SnG which was my favorite. Then an SMF which I liked almost as much as the SnG. They are the best folder made IMHO. However, are they worth 400 bucks??? Ultimately, I didn't think so, the Benchmades I have do everything I need plus alot. Not to mention I can afford some other toys.

What benchmades you got? I have an Apparition and a 950 Rift...
The Rift is my favorite by far.. I switch between it and a spyderco stretch II for my EDC...

Oh, and Dave, I saw when you posted the pic of your laptop screen it was set to the default black background. You (and everyone else) should try going into the SY settings and changing the background to grey. It's MUCH easier on the eyes...especially after long reading/posting sessions.

But I have held both.

I would give the Chopweiller the advantage on chopping because it is longer.

For all around camp knife I would go SOD.

Someone who is more familiar with them should answer that but I think the come in a few different calibers. 9mm and .223 at least.
