I wouldn't mind seeing a big chopper from Scrapyard.

Dan,

Please bring out a big chopper. I don't have the heart to use my Dogfather (which required a small mortgage to purchase on the secondary market <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> )...until I have a 'back up'!

How about a full blown machete? With res-c handle that would be killer.

and penetrator tip!

I'm telling you, if there is going to be a Bussekin machete, it has to come from the Yard. I'd buy at least 10.

Just re-release the DFLE or an SE and all will be right in the World... or at least the Yard.

Re: are we not due for a big blade? - 04/02/10 11:20 AM

so lets get this setteled a 10" blade aprox .270 thick. blade shaped like battle mistress only wider with penetrator tip. this would the be all,end all ultimate chopper.

I would most definitely buy one (or two; or three; maybe four <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />) of these!

Out of curiosity, why do you need a 'backup' for the DF? You're never going to break it... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Looking at the trends with the Busse-kin knives and how when one of the companies brings out a knife the others follow with a similar model...I'm still expecting a Scrapyard version of the Busse SarsQuatch, I'm now thinking this could have one of the reulator handles ! ScrapSquatch ?

What d'ya think ?

Re: are we not due for a big blade? - 04/03/10 05:50 AM

I'd love to see a big bellied blade like the SarQ with Dfather style handles and added length (dogfather length).

Pit, it does make sense. I have wanted to mess with a Sarsquatch but did not want to pay the secondary price not to like it. Now, if Dan brought one out it would be a no brainer.

I have been wondering about this. Would scrap Yard wait until the BWM is out of the Busse site before they offer a big blade? Just so there is no competition? I know a lot of people buy a bunch from each company, but the res-c is making me lean in Scrap Yards favor <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

Also, a Scrapsquatch would be cool...I just want a big blade, a Scrap Warden and a Battle ax first <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

it is not uncommon for them to have similar blades out at the same time or very close together

Dan could lead the Pack with a 10" bladed Reg/Deregulator!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I love the blade profile on the SarsQuatch, but I'd like to see it at 1/4" thick <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Re: are we not due for a big blade? - 04/04/10 03:33 AM

The Tank Buster is around that length and it's 1/4" thick <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I think Dan will pull thru and give us a big bad boy <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Re: are we not due for a big blade? - 04/04/10 03:43 AM

The TankBuster is a seriously stout knife - I have one! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

What would you think of either a 10" bladed Regulator/DeRegulator, or a 3/16" thick DogFather? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

The TankBuster sounded very interesting. Since I'm very new to all things Busse I had to google it. I don't really care for the spine profile (reminds me too much of a SOG Seal) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />.

I wouldn't be overly interested in a 10" Reg/DeReg. The clip point blade isn't my favorite profile either.

I would definitely buy a 3/16" thick DF, but would be more interested in a Reg thickness (.333) DogFather <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />.

I know the profile looks quirky...but it is actually very useful in application. It provides 2 different "choke" points to get up close and personal for detail work, and feels fantastic in hand.

However, I don't like the look of the profile...turns me off, so I sold mine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I'd love to see a ResC handled BWM style blade....nice and thin, maybe a bit longer for some good bush whackin!

I can't afford the BWM, but if Dan could make his version with a Res-C handle for less $$ then bring it! I love my Regulator but I need a Big Scrap Choppin Blade <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I would like that but with the De-Regulator handle.

I LOVE my Sarsquatch and would not want a top guard interfering with my ability to choke up on the blade.
