The Dogs are home, Thanks proxy!!!! - 06/12/10 02:34 AM
Just got my new Dogfather , Dumpster Mutt, and B11 today from the Blade Show.
A special thanks to a very generous Dog that was willing to proxy for me!!!!!!!
Pic shows the BWM, B11, Dogfather and DM for comparison purposes.
A very nice surprise, the B11 has the asymetrical grind, that thing is awesome.

I would like to see the DFLE, BWM, and B11 in a chop off. I really want a compassion between the DFLE and B11, I think they would be close competition.
I was going to have B11 user pics this weekend but other things came up.

The asymmetric edge intrigues me but the way I sharpen everything becomes slightly convex eventually.
Besides it may be tougher using a blade that was touched by the hand of Jerry!
Oh I would still beat it but it might take me 84 seconds longer to make my first chop.

My proxy was Jeff Law (for those too new to know him by name, that's Rainwalker). I'd proxied for him at Knob Creek and he returned the favor at Blade.
I want to publicly thank him, not only for the Blade proxy, but he also gifted me a kydex Dumpster Mutt sheath; it was waiting for me on the porch when I got home tonight. The sun's down, and tomorrow is pretty fully scheduled (I think it's supposed to be stormy too), but I should be able to take and post a picture of it on Sunday. The quality is typical for Jeff's work, absolutely OUTSTANDING!!
One of the things I will make time for tomorrow is that I also had a USPS package delivery notice from Busse Combat in my mailbox -- I need to pick that up.

That thought crossed my mind about the increased value of a knife ground by JB himself but hey, I wasn't expecting one of those and for the great price I might as well find out how great a chopper this really is.
Plus I would really like to see how it compares to the BWM and Dogfather.

Here's the sheath that Jeff made for me. I actually decided to flip the hanger over; I think it may have looked a bit better the way Jeff sent it, but the draw works better for me this way:
