Hey guys, it's all in the family. I regularly check Busse and Swamp Rat. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Oh, me too....I don't think that's what the question was targeted at. I think the point was, why did Jerry post about the Zashi vs .50 on BF....but our boss Dog didn't post it over here. At least, that was my interpretation.
I like it when dogs cross post to share info. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
Thanks for taking the time to post this. This came from a little bet I had with Jerry and I did not know he was going to post this info at all. Please do not try this, a 50 is way to much gun to be messing with...but it was fun to win that blue......... mmmmm'''' good LOL

Dan
Yes, the .50 can take out light armored vehicles. But this was too cool to ignore! Glad you won the Blue. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

"SHOT" Not even close. I don't call this getting "shot" with a .50 at all. A mere skimming is all this is. A minor scratch. Hit that blade broadside with that .50 cal slug, and you are gonna have nothing but scrap metal. Any G.I. 7.62 round will bury right through this thing. Heck I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that a G.I. 5.56 round would pass right through. Let's see some "real" shots against that blade.

Close enough to graze it! I have seen the 5.56mm go through .25" steel plate at 100 yds, and you are probably right. The big .50 cal is a little cannon. The blade would have broken with a solid hit edge on or otherwise. But hitting it edge on isn't easy!

Edge on is no joke Vic. Some people go a lifetime without pulling that off. In the original post I was hoping to see a Scrapizashi with a big dent in it from the slug not making it through. Maybe next time around when Dan shoots at it broadside.
