I need to add a QuikClot packet, but haven't bought one for this kit.

Nice kit Gary, but you know how it's done. Now a Survival Scrapper 4 would be the EXACT blade to add to this, making it a true survival 800 pound gorilla! smile

I wanted to add my AD Battle Grade but I don't yet have a sheath. I also fear it won't fit in the pouch.

The older and more experienced I become the less I need or want.

The one area I've INCREASED my load is food. Not in this kit, obviously, but in my GHB and BOB.

After I read this I went back and read your old thread and made this comment.

My Problem is I try to figure out every contingency and prepare for it. These Kits aren't designed for that so I need Guidance and that is just what I am getting from this and your new revised thread. Plus there are a FEW things I could add on my own. smile

I will be able to prepare for SOME "Problems" and learn that I have to Ignore others until later. It's ALWAYS a learning process, specially since I didn't even start considering something like this (I mean besides toilet paper,band-aids and Germ X) until I was over the halfway mark from 50 to 60.

A PSK contains all of the small stuff we depend on, but is ultra basic. It could be added to a GHB as a supplement or as a component.

Not going to be happy living out of this, but you're likely going to still be living. That's the whole of it.

Yup, I gathered that. You may not be real comfy, but as you said you WILL still be alive. And then you can get comfy again once you're back home.

Over the last few years I have depended on a "Kit" of one kind (altoids, GHB, shoulder bag, etc numerous times. AND those that know me have also grown to depend on my having "Just what they need", be it an aspirin or band-aid or just an antiseptic wipe. It's kinda nice having what you need in a given situation.

Thanks Gary for all your invaluable work and contributions you make on so many different aspects of "Survival". OK, staying alive.

Great kit Gary, I could detach two of the small pouches I have on my main hunting pack (MOLLE Eagle Becker) and have the contents you listed. I chose all those over years humping packs around here.
