some fun today(pics) - 07/25/08 03:00 AM

So a while ago I decided to see just how well fatwood works if it's wet(I've never used it before)
So I soaked a piece of fatwood, I had actually put the piece in about 4 hours prior to this picture,

and I used a few knives to make shavings,

the mora worked pretty well,

the Gossman PSK Jr even better,

know, the DM worked the best for shavings...but the picture dissapeared...sorry
using the Gossman 4" ferro rod and wharny striker

after the first good strike(3 total)

so the verdict is, fatwood is amazing!! I love this stuff! It smells pretty good while burning too

It's with the fireplace stuff. I dunno why they don't also keep some with the camping stuff.
