Sunday yard work with the DFLE & GW *PICS*

Sunday was a nice day, so I thought I’d do some yard work clearing some brush. I brought my DFLE & Game Warden. I bought my camera so I could take some pics to share with you guys. Since it’s the beginning of spring, I thought I might find some interesting things to take pics of. I hope you guys like the pics. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I found a lot of pics blooming in my Mom’s flower bed.


I found this turtle dove nest in a tree near the flower bed.






This ladybug landed on my hand while I was taking pics.


This is a dead branch on one of our apple trees. I gave it a couple whacks and used it to prop up the DFLE.


The lilac is starting to bloom.


The violets are blooming too.


I brought my Maxpedition Fatboy to put my stuff in.




I found quite a few bird nests around the yard. These two are close neighbors.

If you wondered what was in the MaxPed, here’s what I carried. The green foam mat was for when I was taking pics. It made kneeling easier. I just put the strap through the handle so I could carry it on the MaxPed. Also shown is my Colt Mustang Pocketlite, Monocular, Spyderco Waved Delica, Goatskin Gloves, DFLE with Buy Brown kydex sheath, and Game Warden with LV sheath I made.

Great Pic's Andy...you have a talent there for finding birds nests...your garden must be a hive of spring activity. Is'nt the DFLE a great knife for garden work! Yours looks well used!

I counted 31 flowers on that Mutant Dandy and assume there are about 5-6 higher up that the photo didn't have room to capture!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Awesome shots of the nests too. Believe it or not here we just now have our first growth of green grass coming in,first weeds,and the beginnings of tulips,and Day Lilly's. Spring comes so much slower and we are only about 450 miles North of you! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

Looks like you had a blast out there on a beautiful day. I like the way you attached your DF to your pack, does it bite into your side at all?

Those are some beautiful flowers and great lookng steel. I wish it would have been nice weather here, at least somebody got out and enjoyed it!

I don’t know if you noticed, but why I said mutant is did you notice the ones growing together? The one on the right side with the split stem, and the one on the left.
