My trip out west

I made a trip to San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. Here are some pics of the places I got to see:

You hit a lot of great spots, looked like a fun trip.

Yosemite pictures look beautiful, I can't wait to return.

Looks like you had a great time. I love the pic of the bird with starfish, and it looks like you were hacking away with a DF on that redwood!

Forgot to mention, I would love to see the GG bridge before I die. My grandfather patrolled the walking area during the first part of WWII looking for enemy subs and saboteurs--that was before they shipped out to the Aleutians!

I've been to everyone of those spots SP posted, I kind of take it for granted since I live so close.

Hey SJ275, I spent a year in the Aleutians! Shemya to be exact. It's closer to Russia that mainland U.S.

That bird looks like a fishing expert..

this might sound dumb but how in the hell did those seals get on that beam? and how the heck do they balance there whilst sleeping??

The sea lions would jump out of the water up onto the beams. I did watch one jum off and then try to get back on - it didn't look easy. Once they got up there, they pretty much wanted to stay because it looked tought to get back. I'm not sure how they balanced, but I didn't see one fall off. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Man I miss Muir Woods. That was one beautiful place.

pics like that make me home sick. Got some pretty land a view s in Cali but I wouldn't move back there for the world.

I only made it to Santa Cruz. I was out there on business, so I was very limited on where and when I could go. I got lucky to see these places.
