what kind of folders and other knives do you like?

ive been edc'ing a benchmade 710 for a couple 2-3 years now. im a huge benchmade and bark river fanatic. just wondering what peeps from the yard like.

wow thats a few BMs. I have always like em too (local company) been EDCing one for ..... well I'm not sure how long. What was the old Emerson (or was it Elishewitz[no idea if I spelled that right]) design CQC7 or something like that. Its been well over 10 years. I finally got an Emerson Commander but the blade keeps rolling.

There is a "folders" thread on the main Knife sight too. That's the best place to talk about folders

Nice collection. I love all sharp things and things that go boom. Well, most of it anyway. I love BM knives, I have had one in pocket for at least a decade +. I love bowies, just something about them.

I have a variety of folders but my favorites to collect are the Victorinox Alox versions.

Love Benchmades.

Folders - Emersons, Zero Tolerance, Spyderco.

Fixed Blades - Bussekins (of course), Fallkniven, BRKT, Cold Steel.

I like my benchmades. I have a few autos and a regular folder. Pretty tough for folders.

I figured that-I have a couple of brothers to them.........or sisters <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> ? I am going to look for a couple at the knife show plus a LARGE BM folder or two <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />. Haven't haerd from Texas for awhile <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />?

i only have maybee a 1/2 dozen spydies.

I edc a Cold Steel X2 Voyager and Spyderco Tenacious. I have a couple of C.S. Gunsites and a 5" bladed Voyager, along with a few SAK's. Sheath knives are my main interest, and I have Bussekins, Cold Steel, SOG, Beckers, a couple of Brownings, Bark River, a Mission Knives MPK, and a few other various manufacturers. By looking at the blades, you can see that they get used, not just looked at.
I use the GAK, Mini Manix2 and Emerson CQC-16 the most.

For fixed my EDC is a Benchmade Activator 211 (Snody Design), I like it A LOT, but I am anxiously awaiting my Swamp Wardens and if Dan makes some Scrap Wardens I will buy them as well.

I also have a Spyderco Rock Salt, Dayhiker, and a Woodlander...I love them all but I think my regulator beats them all

I mostly like Spydercos for folders, but have some benchmade, kershaw, bucks. I'd love to get a Hinderer and a ESEE Izula folder when it comes out hopefully this year.

been carrying a vic GAK & my sebenza lately

i dont have any case's yet. for liking slippies so mush i know i should have some by now. the slipjoint that i carry the most is my Queen canoe with amber stag handles. i love it.

Hard to say, too much knives I like! Anyway, as folders I like and daily carry: Benchmade Rift, Spyderco Manix (the original), Spyderco Military,
Victorinox SwissChamp, Victorinox MiniChamp, Lone Wolf T2, CR Umnumzaan.

I was into benchmades several years ago but I always carry spyderco's now. I still like the banchmades just as much but the spydercos are thinner and lighter.

I really like SAK's. My SAK's include:

(2) Victorinox Classic's
(1) Victorinox Hiker
(3) Victorinox One-Hand Trekker's (this is a GREAT knife)
(3) Wenger Timber Highlander's

My folding blade collection is pretty weak:

(1) Spyderco H1 Salt Ladybug (my wife carries this)
(1) Spyderco VG10 Ladybug (I EDC this)
(1) Spyderco VG10 Delica 4 (I EDC this)
(1) Sharp 200 (laugh all you want, but my father gave it to me in 1983)

I use to have a ton of other folders, but I sold down my non-Bussekin blades last year.

Oh, I have two Multi-Tools as well:

(1) Gerber 600 Blunt Nose (ca. 1997)
(1) Gerber Crux (love to get rid of this one)

Right now I carry an Emerson cqc7 a(the spearpoint), a mini Grip and a Victorinox pocket pal brought to me by a friend from a trip they took to Switzerland. I have several case slip joints but find myself gravatitating to lock blades as carry knives.

I had my share of expensive folders but now I edc the CS Recon 1 2010 model, its strong, affordable & feels great in hand.

I want to see that too.

For folders I always seem to default back to Emerson. As for fixed blades ESEE really has my attention right now.

Man, I haven't heard anything from the man in Texas in awhile. He is always so nice.

I've got a little 5.11 Tactical knife that they discontinued and I got on sale for 20$. Had it more than a year and I've even pried open a few windshield crates at my civilian job with it, still in good shape. The edge is convexed now because the whetstone I use is my great grandfathers and has a divot in the middle, but otherwise it's sharp enough to do what it needs to. I never leave the house without a cutting tool

yeah, well im what you folk might call a city slicker. im far from a mountain man and the only thing ive ever hunted was a blue jay in my backyard. so given this - im a knife collector much more than a knife user, the 3 bark rivers that i really use are the 3 kitchen pieces that i have. your pieces look like cavemen tools <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Benchmade and Spyderco have some great folders.

I have a RAT 1 and a ZT0200 that rotate through. Lately I've been favoring the RAT because it was $30 and I want to put it through it paces.

Are there any pics or info on this?

Yeah might be my first rat er ESEE.

It's a cool looking blade fo' sho! I like the two tone it's a fantastic blade design. Can't wait till it's out now.
