My dual direction tiller burnt through a drive belt in one season. This is a top-of-the-line Husqvarna that we paid too much for. After wasting lots of time trying to find EP-1 grease for the drive case (dealer recommended fix...???) and using the tiller with the guard off the drive area I figured out the spindle's set screw had backed out and was letting the pulley slip up and down the shaft. This stretched the belt.
