I'm not a collector per se. I'm much more of a user. As such, there is only so many tasks that can be handled by a 3/16" to 1/4" thick slab of SR101 or INFI.

How many people reading this carry a THIN bladed folder? I bet most. That's the knife you grab when you need to use a knife...not a 10" x 0.31" monster. I'm not advocating a Dogfolder, but I do think some more knives geared toward everyday usage would be really nice.

I understand Busse built their reputation on sharpened pry bars. I have ... "several" ... of them, and will never part with them. However, outside of chopping some wood for internet pictures and staging beautiful pictures like Andy's...they're really sort of just expensive collectors.

I'm not suggesting they stop offering these monsters - I tend to buy everyone that comes out. I am suggesting that they start offering smaller statured knives more frequently. A full size handle on a 3" blade, 311 I'm looking at you, isn't all that convenient. The AMS is a great start, but I think I'd rather see some SR101 in that size range.

The best two knives to ever come out of the Yard are the Scrapper 5 and Yard Keeper CG. Those two knives are IMMINENTLY functional. I really wish Dan would offer something like the YKCG in a 4.5" x .125" with a scaled down mudder (or skelly).

I use knives everyday, and the one that gets the most use is a dang Spyderco Endura4 FFG...in spite of having thousands of dollars of Busse and Kin.
