Now I need advice on how to photograph it (Ted/Andy) as there is light flashes at every angle and when flash is turned off it is subdued. I want to catch the sheen for you guys.
You need a light box, and some full spectrum lights. The good thing about the lights over a flash, is that you can see if/where it will reflect, and move the lights accordingly. Another option is to try some outdoor pics on a partly cloudy day to diffuse the light.
