Knifeguy I would love some info on your Kaze and Chiswell. I really considered a Kaze especially now that they sell the blade as a shirasaya but went with the through hardened because it is supposed to be tougher. Those Chiswells are really nice and I do need a Wak to complete my set.

Here is my sword,it still needs a hybrid polish and some work to the saya before it is finished.

Here is a photo of the wrap. The menuki is 3 monkeys,hear speak and see no evil.
The wrap is brown silk and the same is black rayskin.

This is my current daisho (large and small sword)

This photo gives you a good veiw of the Take style tsuba(guard). The tsuba is not to stop a sword but to keep your hand from the blade.



This is not mine(I wish)but is another tsuba this one is a real antique I think from the 1400's that has real gold.
