Personally I would ditch the multitool in the PSK. You're probably better off with a decent swiss army knife like the Explorer. Multitools are nice, I have several. However, they're best employed as an around the house/farm/worksite/battlefield tool.

Ask yourself and be honest, where you will need a set of plyers in the wilderness, or several screw drivers, or a file etc.... Personally, and this is just my opinion, I think that space and weight would be better served by something else. However, if you are packing a piece of potential life saving equipment such as a firearm, stove, radio etc... then the equation changes.

My own philosophy on a PSK is to only take along the things you absolutely need for the environment that you'll likely be in. It's easy to pack along the kitchen sink. However, that gets old realy quick and pretty soon you start leaving things behind. Your PSK will do you no go if it's at home on the kitchen table because it's too big and bulky to take along. Keep it as simple and as small as possible.

Dems my two pennies.
